Hallo,
Ik heb al een hele tijd een probleem met mijn ruitenwissers. Deze piepen heel erg als ze heen en weer gaan.
Ik heb inmiddels al mijn ruitenwissers vervangen, mijn ramen en ruitenwisser gereinigd met spritus maar dat helpt niet.
Als ik de arm van de ruitenwisser tijdens het wissen ligt aandruk dan is het geluid weg en als de arm omhoog doet piept hij ook niet. Ik heb het punt waar de arm roteert al ingespoten met smeerspray, omdat het lijkt alsof hij daar piept.
Iemand vertelde mij dat het zou kunnen komen doordat ik een thermische ruit hebt die vettig wordt. Maar ontvetten hielp dus ook niet.
Heeft iemand een idee? Ik wordt er namelijk helemaal ziek van zo onderhand.

Beste vluggie,
Het probleem zit hem in de ruitenwisserasjes, hebben vrijwel alle primera's van het type P11 last van! Je kan ze regelmatig proberen in te vetten, dat zal in de praktijk iets helpen tot zelfs tijdelijk helemaal verhelpen. Andere oplossing is nieuw kopen bij de dealer (kosten zo'n 60 euro per stuk ex BTW als ik het goed heb??), dan ben je er in ieder geval voor een heleboel jaren weer vanaf!

Is dit makkelijk zelf te doen? Ik zie geen mogelijkheid om de arm los te maken.

Dat zou redelijk makkelijk zelf te doen moeten zijn, heb dit zelf echter nog nooit gedaan. Binnen de Nissanclub weet ik dat men dit meestal wel zelf doet. Ik zal daar eens zoeken voor je of ik wat kan vinden, moeilijk werk is het in ieder geval niet!

Car used was a P11 but it should be more or less the same principle on a P10
If one of your wipers is making a squeeking noise when you turn them on, check and see if one of them is rubbing on the bonnet or has excess play in it. If it is, then it's highly likely that the bearings in the spindle have collapsed. Here's how to go about replacing it.
What you need:
1. Replacement Wiper Spindle ( I got mine second hand free)
2. 14mm and 10mm Sockets and Wrench
3. Cross and Flat head screwdrivers (medium size)
4. Superglue incase you snap off any plastic clips
Time Taken: 45 Minutes, including coffe break
Cuts or grazes aquired: 2
Step 1.
Lift the bonnet and prop it open to give you access to the wiper arms. Using a small screwdriver remove the plastic caps covering the nuts.

Step 2.
With a 14mm socket undo and remove both bolts holding the wiper arms on. These were very stiff when I took them off.

Using a rocking motion work off the wiper arms.

Step 4.
Remove the screw from the centre of the plastic cover and remove the plastic clip above the drivers side spindle with a flat headed screwdriver - Have patience, this will pop out. Take care not to mark the plastic too much.

Step 5.
Following the rubber trim along find the clips holding it down and carefully remove them all from the plastic.

Step 6.
Now the plastic trim has to be removed to get to the spindle. It is held on by 3 clips. This bit is a bit of blind faith, starting at the passenger side pull the plastic directly up and out until the clip comes out of the socket. Repeat the process at the middle and then towards the drivers side. Once the plastic cover is off you will have access to the bolts holding the spindle in.

Step 7.
Remove the three 10mm bolts holding the spindle and push the spindle back into the recess below.

Step 8.
To make it easier to remove, manipulate the spindle to an angle and it will then be easier to pop it out of the ball and socket joint connecting it to the other Spindle and/or motor. When its free remove it from the car. Now would also be a good time to take a cloth and clean the entire area.... mine was filthy!!

Step 9.
Now we are this far it's just a case of repeating everything in reverse. When I refitted the spindle I found it easier to turn on the ignition and make the wipers rotate half a turn to make the ball joint visible and therefore easier to reconnect. After you have connected it up, put the ignition on again and test the spindles are moving ok. Next replace the plastic trim followed by the rubber strip and then the screw and clip holding it down. Replace the wiper arms making sure they are aligned correctly, (approx 15mm from the bottom of the windscreen glass). Then replace the covers and its job done!

Motorkap openen en het kapje wat op de moer zit verwijderen (als dit kapje er zit). Moer losdraaien en dan op het punt waar de arm scharniert in de lengte even drukken. Als het meezit zit de arm dan los van de as. Let er wel op dat je de wissers weer in de Nulstand van de assen monteerd.

Dank jullie voor je bericht.
Er zit inderdaad een kapje op, maar deze is rond en krijg ik er niet af. Ik heb de as inmiddels goed ingespoten met WD-40 en nu is het geluid inderdaad weg.
Ik kijk wel even hoe lang dit blijft en als het snel weer terugkomt dan ga ik kijken of ik ergens zo'n asje kan krijgen.
Ik weet in ieder geval nu waar het aan ligt en dit bespaart mij weer de zoveelste set ruitenwissers.
